Incident Support

Remote/Telephone Support

With modern communications, most issues can be addressed and resolved in this way. We can install software, troubleshoot problems, modify your setup and just about anything else with remote access to your site.

On-site Support

Where problems cannot be resolved remotely, either on the phone, by remote access, or for problems that are hardware related, we can arrange for an engineer to visit your site promptly and resolve the issue for you. We carry most spares you may need on a day to day basis in stock and can source almost anything else promptly to ensure you get running again in an emergency. Downtime can be costly to a business, we recognise that and aim to minimise it.

Ongoing Maintenance

TME suggest to our clients that preventative maintenance and regular servicing of your IT will actually save your business money in the long run. With scheduled visits on a regular basis, your staff will become familiar with being able to get their problems solved. In turn you will waste less man hours due to computer problems and have less call outs for emergency maintenance. Our typical service visit comprises a preventative maintenance procedure on your network that includes several tests such as:

  • Making sure the backups are taking place on a regular basis and that they can be used if necessary: It's all very well backing up, but do you know the restore process works?
  • Making sure the antivirus software is updating the server and the workstations: Again, having virus software on a machine is important, but equally important is that when a new virus comes out the software updates to protect against it.
  • Ensuring all recent support bug fixes and software patches are applied: Companies like Microsoft release regular updates for their software to solve problems and also to prevent un-authorised access to your systems. Keeping these up to date is important to keep your system running smoothly.
  • Resolving any hardware/software problems.

Every company is different and so has different needs, although those needs are generally similar. Your support will be tailored to meet those needs accordingly and built in to a support agreement.

Audit and Asset Management

TME can also offer a system audit service to help you understand the assets you already own. This can include the following:

  • List of all applications on all machines (Software Licensing can be tricky, do you know what your staff use on their machines?)
  • Network Analysis. This will include a detailed look at the network configuration as well as recommendations to improve performance if necessary highlighting possible bottlenecks slowing your system.
  • General configuration issues. This will look at your system and highlight specific and immediate problems.
  • Security. This will ensure you have sufficient protection from viruses and network intrusion (hacking, both external and internal).
