Telephony / VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol)

using your Internet connection to save you money

Telephony VOIP

With the changes in the way you buy your connection to the internet today, there have been many other advances which can save your business money. One of the most significant of these is Voice Over Internet Protocol, also known as Voice Over IP or VOIP.

VOIP essentially allows you to use your Internet connection to talk to other branch offices, overseas offices or even your everyday contacts without actually using your phone lines. In turn this can lead to huge savings in your overall costs of your phone calls.

With Oceancall, TME installed a VOIP solution that reduced phone bills from £100,000 a month to around £50,000 during their busiest times and leading to total savings of around £0.5Million per year!! The investment cost in setting this all up was around £120,000 so it paid for itself in next to no time.

Obviously this was a very large solution and we are undertaking similar jobs for other Call Centres. However we can implement the same ideas for solutions for any scale business, from big offices to home users.

In addition to VOIP solutions, TME can assist with any telecoms needs including the following areas:

  • Telephone Systems

Telephone Systems

TME can supply a range of telephone systems from manufacturers such as Panasonic, Avaya and Alcatel, all of which can significantly benefit your business by using the latest technology to connect you with people. They do all this whilst still providing the basic functionality you need as a business to make and receive phone calls without interruption.

For example, the newer systems allow you have home workers or branch offices connected to the telephone system in your office using VOIP technology. This works in a largely similar way to that mentioned above but in a cost effective manner for smaller installations. For example, a member of staff who frequently works from home could be connected to the office and work as though they were on site, transferring calls to people, answering the phone, making calls, all through your system, completely transparently.
